Why we study Earth Science?
*Nearly everything we do each day is connected in some way to the Earth
*Earth Science poses new questions about our world
*Earth Science empowers us to think globally and act locally
What we hope you will experience this year...
- taking photos of what you notice in the natural world
- finding out what the mud behind the school can tell you about the history of the local watershed
- learning how to take care of plants that nourish us
- discovering what resources are available to you and how to use them
- learning how to persevere when challenged
The purpose of this webpage is to be an adjunct to science class. It is not meant to replace class time or class experiences. Please encourage your student to get class notes/discussion points from a peer or directly from Mrs. Ciarametaro or Ms. Schofield.
The S'more Challenge has begun! Students are working on procedure writing with the hopes of creating an edible S'more for Mrs. Ciarametaro & Ms. Schofield. A student from our C period class was so close (her creation is the picture to the right). Will the class of 2019 be known as the S'more Class?
Time will tell.
UPDATE: As of Friday, 9/19, TWO successful S'Mores have been created! This is definitely the year of the S'MORE!!
